Regularity theory for elliptic and parabolic systems and problems in continuum mechanics

Telč, Czech Republic, 2.–5. 5. 2018

Basic info

Since 2010 Nadační fond na podporu vědy NEURON (NEURON Endowment Fund to Support Science) provides grants for scientists working in the Czech Republic. In 2012 NEURON junior research grant was awarded to Miroslav Bulíček for research concerning regularity of solutions to partial differential equations. Meeting Regularity theory for elliptic and parabolic systems and problems in continuum mechanics was organized in 2014 as a part of this junior research project, and the aim of the meeting was to bring together researchers working in the field of regularity of partial differential equations with a particular emphasis on partial differential equations stemming from continuum mechanics. The meeting was successful and was attended by top researchers in the field as well as by talented young researchers, see the list of participants.

RSJ

The successful first meeting was in 2016 followed by a second meeting that was organised joinly by Emilio Acerbi (Università degli Studi di Parma), Miroslav Bulíček (Charles University in Prague), Nicola Fusco (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II) and Josef Málek (Charles University in Prague). We were very happy to see many distinguished scholars as well as young researchers in the meeting.

In 2018 a third meeting Regularity theory for elliptic and parabolic systems and problems in continuum mechanics will be held at the old known place in Telč from 2nd to 5th May 2018. All those interested in regularity theory are cordially invited!

Finacial support has been provided by RSJ.

A program of the meeting can be found here, cofirmed key speakers are (last update on 5th March 2018):

Invited short presentations will be delivered by other distinguished researchers and distinguished early career researchers such as Paolo Baroni (University of Parma), Barbora Benešová (University of Würzburg), Vesa Julin (University of Jyvaskyla), Filip Rindler (University of Warwick). We anticipate that there will be some time reserved for short talks (20 minutes) by the participants. If you are interested in giving a short talk, please fill in the corresponding fields in the registration form (title, abstract).
